Skiing in Mürren

Skiers carve fresh lines in the powder snow in the Mürren-Schilthorn ski area. The breathtaking mountain panorama can be seen from afar.

Mürren-Schilthorn

The highest skiing area in the Bernese Oberland

The Mürren-Schilthorn skiing area, has slopes for every ability level. Beginners can make their first tracks in the snow in the ski school area, right here in the car-free mountain village of Mürren. Kids will have a great time exploring the kids’ slope on the Allmendhubel, where waves and banked turns make for lots of fun in the snow.

Slope 9, the “Direttissima”, guarantees an adrenaline rush! With an 88% incline, it’s the steepest slope in the Jungfrau Region.

Freestylers can let off steam in the Skyline Snowpark, which has kickers, rails and boxes. But even if you don’t want to ski or snowboard, there’s still plenty for you to enjoy in the Schilthorn region. Check out a winter hiking trail or a speedy sledging run that takes you through forests and past snow-covered chalets. We’re sure James Bond didn’t have time for such a fun itinerary when he was here! He was a bit too busy saving the world!

Your skiing experience can take you across the entire Jungfrau Region. The ski pass is valid from Mürren-Schilthorn to Wengen, Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg and as far as Grindelwald-First.

Lessons in the snow

“The beginner makes more progress in three days than his father did in three weeks.”

This sentence appears on an advertisement published in England after the snow sports schools in the Jungfrau Region were formed. But skiing isn’t all there is to learn here. You can also dive into winter in a variety of ways on guided tours.
