Butterflies on Hasliberg
The Hasliberg is an insider's tip for seeing different butterflies. Due to the cultivation of the agricultural land, most sightings are made above the four villages (Hohfluh, Wasserwendi, Goldern, Reuti).
In the varied landscape with steep rockfaces and numerous meagre meadows, Hasliberg provides an attractive habitat for butterflies.
The area ranges between 1,000 and 2,400 metres above sea level and mainly faces south and south-east. The great amount of sunlight and diversity of landscape (alpine, meagre and semi-dry meadowland, coniferous, mixed forest and wood clearings as well as hedges, moorland and little natural streams) provide countless butterflies with the ideal living conditions.
Keep a lookout for the diversity of colourful butterflies.
