This via ferrata doesn’t go up, it goes down. We’re serious – this via ferrata is something completely different! And it’s not only the via ferrata that goes down – look down at the steep rockfaces on the way to Gimmelwald and you’ll see deep, gaping chasms.

To tackle the via ferrata, you need to be physically fit, sure-footed and have a head for heights. You’ll also need suitable equipment and knowledge of how to behave on the mountain.
If you don’t have much experience, it’s recommended to climb the via ferrata with a mountain guide. You can only go on this tour in good weather conditions without thunderstorms or rain. One carabiner should always stay connected to the safety rope.
