The villages Mürren and Gimmelwald

The mountain village of Mürren lies at 1650 m above sea level and leaves a lasting impression on visitors with its tanned chalets and breathtaking views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In Mürren you will spend an unforgettable holiday without hectic and noise with friendly people. Feel at one with nature, benefit with your family all year round from a wide range of excursions and sports opportunities or let yourself be pampered from head to toe in the Alpine Spa.

A narrow mountain road leads from Mürren down to Gimmelwald, which lies at 1367 m above sea level and is an originally preserved mountain farming village. Its inhabitants maintain close contact with nature and animals and this bond is evident throughout the village with its lovingly decorated chalets and cheese storehouses. The local farming families sell their products from the house, fields and garden directly from the farm and in Mürren.
