Always look on the bright side of life – probably the sunniest ski resort in the region.
So sun protection is definitely recommended. In about 25 minutes, the gondolas glide up to 2,000 metres into the Grindelwald-First area. If you want to boost your adrenaline a bit after a leisurely ride, you'll get your money's worth in the snowpark. Because Grindelwald-First is also a snowboard and freeski paradise – many local riders regularly show off their skills here. For those who prefer not to fly through the park, there is also a safer option. The First Flyer and Glider can be used free of charge with a Jungfrau or Grindelwald-Wengen ski pass (from 1 day pass).
If that's still a litle too crazy for you: the area offers enough alternatives with over 60 kilometres nicely prepared slopes, 40 kilometres of hiking and sledging trails and trendy après-ski spots. In addition, there's the impressive panorama of the Bernese Alps. Priceless.
