Thrill Walk Birg

Thrills par excellence

If you make your way from Mürren towards the Schilthorn, you will arrive at the Birg middle station after the first gondola ride. You should plan a longer stop here to visit the Thrill Walk. It guarantees a higher pulse rate for all those who dare to cross it.

The approximately 200 metre long rock walkway was built into the rock along the vertical abyss. The construction made of steel and glass as well as a floor made of gratings blends seamlessly into the angular rocky landscape.

You should spend around 45 minutes visiting the Thrill Walk so that you have enough time to take some spectacular photos.

In addition to the grating that makes up most of the walkway and stairs, there are around 20 metres of glass floor, cattle grid floor elements and a nine-metre-long rope bridge complete with safety net. An eight metre long crawl tunnel completes the experience.

The entrance to the Thrill Walk is located on the side of the panoramic terrace at Birg station.
After 200 metres of thrills, you will reach the end of the walkway further down. From there, a gravel path (snow-covered in winter) leads up to the station building.
