Inferno race

22 January 2025

The Inferno race, which was first organised by "ski-mad" Brits in 1928, is now regarded as the biggest amateur race in the world of skiing. The number of participants is limited to 1850 and every year several hundred competitors have to be turned away. The varied, special topography is what makes this 14.9 kilometre course so attractive, and it can also be skied outside of the race. Good skiers need around 20 minutes for this wonderful descent. The winners of the race take less than 15 minutes.
