Our routes

The rapid descent from the Schiltgrat to Mürren via Gimmelen offers spectacular views of the snow-covered peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The Apollo Run is suitable for experienced sledgers.

The bob sled run from the Allmendhubel to Mürren is suitable for everyone, including beginners. This sledging run is a former bob sled run and you can enjoy exquisite mountain scenery as you descend.

To enjoy your day of sledging, you’ll need the right ticket. If you are going to be sledging a lot, buy the Jungfrau Region Hiking and Sledging Pass, which is available for one or more days and is valid throughout the Jungfrau Region. However, you can also buy individual tickets for the Allmendhubel funicular railway car or the Schiltgrat chairlift.

Sledging followed by fondue

From January to mid-March, a sledging and fondue event is held on the Allmendhubel every Thursday and Friday evening. You can expect great food and drink and lots of fun on the thrilling ride back to Mürren afterwards.

Safety first

Sledging doesn’t require any particular prior experience. It’s fun for all ages. However, you do need the proper equipment. You’ll need sturdy waterproof shoes, warm, waterproof clothing, gloves and a hat. We also strongly recommend wearing a helmet.

Tip:
One thing you don’t need to worry about taking with you is food and drink, as there are numerous mountain huts where you can warm up, drink tea and eat fondue.

No sledge? No problem!

Want to go sledging but don't have a sledge with you? No worries! These sports shops will lend you one for a small fee. Alternatively, you can check in advance if sledges are available for hire where you are going.
