Two roads lead to the idyllic alpine village of Mürren. From Lauterbrunnen, take the gondola cableway to Grütschalp and continue on the cosy and nostalgic train to Mürren. For a little more thrill, take the spectacular aerial cableway from Stechelberg via Gimmelwald to Mürren.

From the viewpoint on the lower village road (location) you can take holiday photos that are sure to make it into your album. A new photo subject can be discovered around every corner in this village. Be it a blooming garden or an artistically decorated house wall with a snow-covered roof.


GASTRONOMY
If you want to relax a little, you can be spoilt by the hosts of the village on one of the sun terraces. No one will be able to miss the impressive panorama.

Most of the restaurants offer traditional Swiss cuisine. Italian specialities can also be found everywhere. The Hotel Jungfrau offers Malaysian specialities and Thams Snack has other Asian dishes on the menu. Haute cuisine can be found at the Hotel Eiger.
For coffee, cake and vegan snacks, Café Liv is the place to be.


SHOPS, SOUVENIRS
The shops offer everything from new trekking boots to traditional snow globes, jewellery and locally produced textiles. Special souvenirs of Mürren can be found at "Exile on Mainstreet", a shop selling the Piz Gloria brand, which epitomises the region.

Local specialities such as mountain cheese, sausage and honey are of course also available. These can also be conveniently purchased at any time from the vending machine. The Bistro Alti Metzg offers an appealing bistro menu as well as a small store with regional products.
