Riggli climbing garden
Family-friendly climbing near Mürren
Climbing finches on - rope out
The Riggli climbing garden is a good place for families with over 30 short and well-secured routes in difficulty levels 4c to 6c.
Topos can be found in the Interlaken (Vertical Sport) or Plaisir climbing guides.
The terrain below the wall is grassy and easy to walk on. Above the area there is also a grassy area from which some routes can be hooked in from above. This means that toprope can be climbed here directly. Thanks to its southern exposure, the limestone rock warms up pleasantly in summer.
If you spend the whole day climbing, you can enjoy refreshments in the Schilthornhütte just above the routes.
The climbing garden is located a few minutes' walk below the Schilthornhütte.
The quickest way to get there is to take the gondola cableway from Mürren to Birg station (middle station of the Schilthorn cableway). From Birg, follow the white signposts downhill through the Engetal valley and after about 40 minutes you will be at the foot of the wall.
