The most impressive 360° panorama-experience in the Alps
Enjoy the 360° breathtaking view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO world heritage site) and more than 200 other mountain peaks in the world’s first revolving mountain restaurant Piz Gloria. On a clear day, you can even see as far as the Mont Blanc massif in France and Germany’s Black Forest.
Revolving Restaurant Piz Gloria
The 360-degree revolving restaurant beckons with the rich James Bond 007 brunch or a delicious lunch – for instance the special 007-themed burger – while the stunning panorama glides silently by. Our restaurant with table service rotates around its own axis in 45 minutes, gliding past more than 200 mountain peaks.
Bond World 007
Visit the interactive Bond World 007 based on the movie «On Her Majesty’s Secret Service» with George Lazenby. The tour through the attraction allows visitors to immerse themselves in the movie and discover film-related details and trivia, catch a glimpse of the original screenplay and try out their own James Bond skills. All of the key scenes are represented – from James throwing his hat skilfully onto the coat hook in Miss Moneypenny’s office to the exhilarating bobsleigh ride. Personal BOND moments also beckon in the helicopter simulator in the original chassis of a decommissioned Air Glaciers Alouette III that flew to the Schilthorn on its very last flight.
007 Walk of fame
Agent James Bond 007 has once again left fresh tracks on the Schilthorn. The world's first 007 Walk of fame pays tribute to the actors and behind the scenes contributors involved in the filming of «On Her Majesty's Secret Service». Other celebrities from the world of James Bond 007 will also be able to find a place on the Schilthorn! An information board honours each of the personalities with a photo, signature and handprints in steel accompanied by a personal message. The panels form the 007 Walk of fame on the Schilthorn summit, a unique way to pay homage to the legendary James Bond film.
The Schilthorn is open all year round.
Only in spring and autumn is there a short break during which maintenance work is carried out.
In summer there is the Sunset Ride Special - then the last cable car only returns to the village after sunset.
The journey to Mürren is within the validity range of the SBB General Abonnement. From Mürren the route is considered a private transportation company.
Children and persons with a Half-Fare Card, GA, Swiss Travel Pass, Eurail or Interrail benefit from reduced prices.
There are also special discounts for groups.
All prices can be found on the Schilthorn Cableways website.
The Piz Gloria building is located on the summit of the Schilthorn. It is surrounded all around by sloping terrain.
In winter, the uppermost ski slope starts here at an altitude of just under 3,000 metres. In summer the summit can be reached via two hiking trails. However, these are often only free of snow as of early summer.
The best Bond of all times. «On Her Majesty's Secret Service» plays in 1969 on the Schilthorn in the rotating restaurant, which was named «Piz Gloria» as a result of the film.
