1 August is Swiss National Day. Celebrate Swiss National Day in Grindelwald with traditional folk music and entertainment.
Program:
From 4:00 pm | Festival catering at Eiger+ Nordwandplatz with musical accompaniment by Ländlerkompass
6:00 – 6:30 pm | National Day aperitif offered by Grindelwald Tourism
8:00 pm | Cannon shot (if fireworks take place)
8:30 pm | Gathering for the torch and cowbell parade at the church
8:45 pm | Open-air concert by the Grindelwald Music Society at Eiger+ Nordwandplatz
9:00 pm | Torch and cowbell parade through the village
9:30 pm | Welcome address by Beat Bucher, Mayor of Grindelwald
From 9:30 pm | Traditional entertainment program at Eiger+ Nordwandplatz
Approx. 10:30 pm | Fireworks followed by mountain bonfires
